Bayou Medical Management is pleased to announce that Dr. Louis C. Blanda, Jr. is the newest addition to our PPO network of physicians. A native of New Orleans, Dr. Blanda graduated from Tulane University and was awarded his MD from LSU School of Medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Louisiana State Medical Society, the Lafayette Parish Medical Society and the Acadiana Orthopedic Association. Dr. Blanda performs all procedures at Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital on Kaliste Saloom Rd.
Dr. Blanda has been practicing medicine for over thirty years and specializes in both surgical and non-surgical procedures. In addition to performing spinal surgeries on the cervix and lumbar, Dr. Blanda also handles shoulder and knee arthroscopies, as well as hip replacement surgery. He is also trained to perform epidural steroid injections for all parts of the spine.
Dr. Blanda has helped contribute to the medical community in Acadiana by sitting as a consultant for both Lafayette General Medical Center and the Heart Hospital of Lafayette. Dr. Blanda will continue to have a positive impact on his patients and the medical community at large because of his commitment to excellence and desire to continue serving the people of Acadiana for years to come.
